Ways to convince Your Boss Ways to Save
Overview

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technology is the next frontier for businesses looking to streamline processes, increase productivity and ultimately improve the bottom-line.

RPA typically uses artificial intelligence to handle repetitive, rules-based, back-office tasks. And the market is about to experience a period of "explosive" growth.

The RPA market grew 64 percent to $200 million last year and is expected to grow 70 to 90 percent by 2018 because successful pilot projects are inspiring buyer confidence in the technology, the consulting and research firm reports.

However, there are some barriers to adoption, such as IT departments concerned about data security and loss of control. Plus, replacing staff with robots in some sectors, such as government, could become a political minefield.

Join us at RPA Summit in July to hear from subject matter experts currently evaluating RPA for their businesses in areas such as Finance, Procurement, HR, Outsourcing, Automation, etc.

Topic Abstract

In this era of digitisation, automation is no longer a buzz word, firms across the globe have reached a stage where digital workforce proof of concepts and pilots are a thing of the past and implementing automation solutions at scale have become a priority to not only save costs and increase processing efficiency, but assist the human workforce to free them up to do more value add tasks.

Although firms are thinking about workforce of the future, but when it comes to technology delivery at scale, there is a tendency to treat the creation of a digital workforce as a pure business solution or a pure IT solution - leading to inefficient and flaky "robots" manged by an un-agile business team, which ultimately leads to millions of dollars being spent for a below average solution.

With our experience of working at multiple clients and firms all across the globe, we would like to speak about implementation and delivery of automation solutions using a multi lever approach covering the following topics -

1. Why and how are businesses failing to deliver automation at scale?
- Setting realistic implementation timelines
- Business IT cohesiveness
- Transparent communication with stakeholders

2. Key caveats in automation delivery
- Lean process improvement
- Multi lever automation delivery (e.g. RPA + custom .NET modules + cognitive solutions)
- Agile delivery with key DevOps practices

Our talk will be supported with key client examples from our experience and live demonstrations on robust automation delivery.

Topic Abstract

The issue of RPA change management has been identified as a major barrier to adoption. Enkr8ia is discovering how organisations can apply RPA technology to also address change management barriers created by job replacement within the organisation. This presentation explores how advances in AI and neuroscience are being used to empower individuals to positively confront and respond to changes in their work environment and achieve their own personal goals.

Speaker Profile

Greg Jamieson is the founder of Enkr8ia and is on a mission to crack the code of personal change. Greg's background is in technology, initially as a developer and most recently as CIO for a US multinational where he was responsible for technological and organisational change. Greg has seen first hand how people struggle with change and left the corporate world to discover how AI can be used to revolutionise change management by increasing motivation and reducing resistance to change.
Enkr8ia P/L is a Melbourne based tech startup discovering how artificial intelligence (AI) technology and Machine Learning can help empower people to achieve their potential. Our name is derived from the ancient Greek word enkrateia |eng-krat-i-ah | noun | In power of self.

Our mission of empowering people to gain control of their life is based upon two strongly held beliefs; (i) Lasting change is possible only when it comes from deep within - however many of us are limited by unconscious beliefs and lack the skills, behaviors and sense of identity needed to be successful, and
(ii) Technology is now embedded into our everyday existence. So much so that it has become an extension of what we do. With cognitive computing (AI) our personal devices can become an extension of who we are.

Greg Jamieson, Founder & Director, Enkr8ia P/L
This will be an interactive session where participants will join a table to discuss the round table topic - Robotic Process Automation . Each table has a "Topic Guru" to facilitate the discussion.
