X Topic Abstract

Intelligent Automation (IA) helps companies realize the next wave of operational efficiency, support decision making through data analytics and accelerate digital evolution. AIOps combines big data and machine learning to automate IT operations processes. Intelligent solutions can emulate human behavior, make decisions and learn from experience. Intelligent Automation and AI enable organizations achieve business and IT process efficiencies through a three-phased strategic approach. The first phase involves assessing the current level of automation maturity to qualify quick wins for implementation. The second phase is used to identify the major business/IT processes focus areas and align them with the Do-Think-Learn service continuum. The final phase includes a roadmap using the crawl, walk and run framework. This session provides an overview of process automation using Robotics and the approach to accelerate automation maturity with enhanced intelligent automation using machine learning and artificial intelligence.

X Topic Abstract

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is a technology tool aimed at automating the mundane, high-volume, repetitive, and rules-based business activities for both the front office and back office. However, many organizations are still unclear about robotic process automation, much less how it can automate business processes and gain productivity and efficiency gains. Join us in this session to explore the basics of

RPA, what it is, how it is used, and the secret to boosting workflow and operational efficiency.

Speaker Profile

Don Thomas is a recognized expert in Intelligent Automation and is on a mission to be a catalyst of change for the industry. Originally, trained as an electronic engineer, he is a renaissance man with a background in education, theology and strategic leadership which gives him a unique perspective in his over 30 years of technology leadership. As a thought leader in this field, Don works with data-driven companies to generate business value so that they may meet and exceed goal after goal. He has implemented smart automaton technologies globally and is a believer in enabling organizations to work more effectively helping them to achieve it by leveraging their effectiveness through their business process digitalization and optimization.

X Topic Abstract

Blurring the boundaries Hyper Automation and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) becoming ever more prevalent and resilient in the face of unpredictable failure modes, whilst still being able to process huge amounts of unstructured data, embarking onto this third wave of artificial intelligence and the art of solution thinking.

X Topic Abstract

Getting started in RPA might not be as difficult as imagined. What process would you automate today if you did not need to learn a programming language? See a live demo of how testProject can be used to leverages Plain English to get an RPA process done in a day.

Speaker Profile

Paul Grossman is a software test architect who has been speaking on the topic of automation for over 15 years.
He leverages his experience designing test frameworks with speed, accuracy and scalability to crossover into RPA projects.
Recently he has been speaking about Natural Language Process engines and the "Magic Object Model" to speed the creation
of robust automation task scripts created by non-technical resources.

X Topic Abstract

Any operational term with the word “robotics” often creates anxiety and even fear with employees as they may feel their job is at risk. And the is often the case for robotic process automation (or RPA). The truth, however, is that if messaged and implemented correctly by an organization, RPA can increase employee morale and job satisfaction.

Automating the mundane and repetitive process can allow:

• Employees to focus more time on their core functions
• Have more bandwidth to innovate and improve current activities
• Reduce tedious work and provide employees time to concentrate on the creative and strategic business initiatives
• Less employee churn and more stability with coworkers

X Topic Abstract

How RPA has evolved and the need for more evolution to meet the changing landscape of technology (cloud, ML and AI)

Speaker Profile

Sreeni is a well-rounded strategy consultant, Architect and a business leader with a good mix of technical and business skills with a career spanning more than 20 years in Enterprise systems Architecture and solution design using cloud and emerging technologies.

X Topic Abstract

Value has an individual meaning to different sectors but the most complete description that addresses RPA in manufacturing reads as follow. “Throughput is the rate at which the system generates money through sales” (The goal Eliyamu M. Golgard). Throughput has so many colorful variables during the manufacturing processes, but the most undervalued leisure is the gold mine of unstructured data that is imbedded in the infrastructure of the process lines. This unstructured data can be mined and converted to structure data to populate reports to help control the bill of material. During my career I have seen many disconnected interfaces between the traditional ERP systems and the production lines. Hence companies are feeding an unseen hungry monster that devoured raw material during the production process this creates an unease in the back office during mass balance and a tension builds between losses and savings. By adding data lines from the production lines and by interfacing them to the ERP one opens endless possibilities that connects the customers needs in real time by employing bots in the back office. Agility becomes a natural Poka-Yoke that drives continues improvement without effort due to the enhance cognitive tool the ecosystem added to enhance the decision taking processes. It allows the human in the back office to align decisions to enhance make business strategy and profit. At maturity levels machine learning and AI can be added to the ecosystem to deal with the low hanging fruits to reduce turn over times.

Speaker Profile

Sreeni is a well-rounded strategy consultant, Architect and a business leader with a good mix of technical and business skills with a career spanning more than 20 years in Enterprise systems Architecture and solution design using cloud and emerging technologies. My experience has been marinated by 25 years of packaging experience in the petrol and chemical manufacturing environment. This has changed my DNA imprints during my personal journey in the production environment. One of my boast rights is an international award that produced fruits during an optimization project that I was part of, and the award was presented under the title of project team of the year. But looking back and acknowledging the swiftness of evolution I must admit change in techniques during lean production is about to meet a facial, nip and tug by injection digitalization.
I have been privileged through my career to experience different cultures that was molded by Japan, Germany, France, Holland and South African production units but during my observations one denominator that oversee customer experience is culture. Culture is engulfed by a complex system with layers created during a natural life cycle indulge form different parts of the world. I don’t need to inform you that the human experience changed because of technology hence real time trend and experience may be artificial or relevant but it is dominating future culture trends. I am a firm advocate that digital transformation and RPA creates an more productive and professional culture without being destructive but building accountability due to the agile nature.
