X Topic Abstract

Intelligent RPA and Intelligent Automation has grown by leaps and bounds over the last 3+ years with a focus on automating repetitive processes. Cognitive automation is picking up as we speak. The question among most leaders is, “where do we go from here?”. The search for better value adding use cases is always on. In this session, Pavan will delve on Futuristic use cases that are critical for businesses and their leadership; and how Intelligent Automation teams can up their game by adding enhanced value.

X Topic Abstract

In the talk, we bring you our learnings on how to navigate RPA and scale it to Intelligent Automation successfully to bring real value to your organization.

As you all know, RPA has become a catalyst for a bigger digital transformation. While RPA talks about automating a repeatable process, a lot more can be done by combining RPA with AI, Cognitive, or other evolving technologies. Therefore, we need to build intelligence around RPA to solve end-to-end business problems around Natural Language Processing, ChatBots, OCR, AI/ML, among others.

At Lowe’s, we have been using a known industry application and delivered a lot of usecases utilizing its platform. However, we have also been working on our own Internal Intelligent Automation Platform, which can complement this application. Over the years, we successfully built capabilities around OCR, Internal ChatBot, and a reporting engine using Elastic, helping us expand our scope for automation and preparing us for the future once we exhaust our pipeline of simple, repeatable processes.

X Topic Abstract

In finance, bank accounts statements are regularly reconciled with the numbers in an accounting software to make sure there is no disparity in the final balances. Reconciliations are typically done every month, as banks will send monthly statements and these can be used as the basis for the reconciliation. Manually performing this task is quite labor intensive & requires a lot of hours & focus. With automation – we can tremendously cut down on the manual hours & bring in 100% accuracy & efficiency. Automation also paves way to early fraud detection and action.

X Topic Abstract

No. Hyper Automation is picking up stream. It is coming together of AI with new age technologies such as Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Robotic Process Automation, Cognitive Automation and more.
Hyper Automation is set to become the core of next generation operating models. Mckinsey has revealed that companies across industries that are still in experimental stages with IPA have already experienced automation of 50 - 70% of tasks, with ROI growth in triple-digit percentages.
Hyper Automation has four key implications:
1. Shifting scope - The scope of automation shifts from indivisual discrete tasks to knowledge work that drives more dynamic experiences and ultimately, better bussiness outcomes.
2. Evolving Technology - The technologies required to support hyper automation will evolve to support a broad range of bussiness scope and incorporate for ML.
3. Increase agility - As needs (and threats) evolve, organization will need to be more agile to respond.
4. Engage the workforce - The workforce must be fully engaged, and perhaps more importantly, fully integrated, to capture the full value of hyperautomation
