Ways to convince Your Boss Ways to Save
Overview

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technology is the next frontier for businesses looking to streamline processes, increase productivity and ultimately improve the bottom-line.

RPA typically uses artificial intelligence to handle repetitive, rules-based, back-office tasks. And the market is about to experience a period of "explosive" growth.

The RPA market grew 64 percent to $200 million last year and is expected to grow 70 to 90 percent by 2018 because successful pilot projects are inspiring buyer confidence in the technology, the consulting and research firm reports.

However, there are some barriers to adoption, such as IT departments concerned about data security and loss of control. Plus, replacing staff with robots in some sectors, such as government, could become a political minefield.

Join us at RPA Summit in December to hear from subject matter experts currently evaluating RPA for their businesses in areas such as Finance, Procurement, HR, Outsourcing, Automation, etc.

Topic Abstract

Artificial Intelligence and Robotic Process Automation are transforming our ways of lives and the way Business Enterprises operate. Agricultural and Industrial revolutions were focused on making humans efficient. Information Age made us more effective. We are at the cusp of, what we call, Intelligence revolution, which is fundamentally going to amplify human potential, extend our imagination horizon and shrink our known universe. Researchers at Google were able to discover an exoplanet, using machine learning techniques, by training a computer to identify the change of brightness patterns when planets revolve around their stars (https://www.nasa.gov/press-release/artificial-intelligence-nasa-data-used-to-discover-eighth-planet-circling-distant-star)
Oil & Gas industry is lagging in adopting the advances in these technologies. In this session we will focus on ways in which AI and Advanced Machine Learning can be combined with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to amplify the value delivered in Upstream Operations in Oil & Gas.

Topic Abstract

McKinsey, published a report that that stated early adoption IIOT and AI will generate $50bn in the next 5-7 years, for the energy industry. The report also stated that if companies don't' adopt AI then they will see a 20% decline in profits, during that period. Therefore, early adoption of AI will be a key component in our company's long-term survival. So it's matter of when, rather than If

With that also brings several concerns about job retention, across the spectrum. One aspect I would like to discuss would be the impact of AI on the employee and how it will create more opportunities to empower us and improve our lives. To do that, we need to look at the psychology of AI, for too long our greatest fears from AI, comes us imprinting our own motivational drivers onto AI.

I have often said, I cannot wait for AI to take my job, so I can do the next one.
