Ways to convince Your Boss Ways to Save
Overview

Robotic Process Automation Summit is the next frontier for businesses looking to streamline processes, increase productivity and ultimately improve the bottom-line.

RPA typically uses artificial intelligence to handle repetitive, rules-based, back-office tasks. And the market is about to experience a period of "explosive" growth.

The RPA market grew 64 percent to $200 million last year and is expected to grow 70 to 90 percent by 2020 because successful pilot projects are inspiring buyer confidence in the technology, the consulting and research firm reports.

However, there are some barriers to adoption, such as IT departments concerned about data security and loss of control. Plus, replacing staff with robots in some sectors, such as government, could become a political minefield.

Join us at Robotic Process Automation Summit in February to hear from subject matter experts currently evaluating RPA for their businesses in areas such as Finance, Procurement, HR, Outsourcing, Automation, etc.

Topic Abstract

As Automation fast approaches, this is a common question.
Will it affect my job? Will it replace it? Will it enhance it?
Many vendors look to be able to prove/figure this issue out.
The challenge behind automation is emulating the human mind and what it does well, and what falls to folly.
This is the distinction automation makes:

Reinforcing the human aspect of work, while outsourcing the mundane, repetitive, and error prone tasks that typically dominate a lot of people’s day to day.
How do we accelerate this with automation?

Speaker Profile

Michael “Chet” Chambers was a successful early adopter of RPA technology, back when functioning robots were still science fiction to most people. He saved his employer VHA millions by analyzing data on a previously impossible scale. Soon after, he moved to an executive role at HP, partnering with UiPath to deploy 224 robots in under a year. Chet was so smitten with UiPath that came on board as a Chief Evangelist – helping UiPath customers scale their RPA initiatives.

Topic Abstract

As Robotic Process Automation (RPA) has become more mature in recent years to enable enterprise-wide application and organization excitement towards it is understandable. The technology promises to automate repetitive, manual tasks across the business, increasing productivity and cutting expense and the lowered barrier to entry, the willingness to initiate RPA initiatives has increased. However, a few key factors can affect the success rate of your RPA initiatives. Whether you are new to your RPA journey or considering the move, it’s necessary to understand the first few steps you take are critical for success.

I will share 8 critical success factors (with my real-life experiences) to consider in the planning and execution of your RPA deployment. This will greatly increase your chances of a successful outcome.

Topic Abstract

Industries that are achieving early gains from Robotic Process Automation (RPA) are those with high transaction volumes and shared back-office services such as financial services, insurance and healthcare. However, RPA can deliver benefits across the board in all industries. Any company that has implemented shared services or outsourced its back-office functions, including finance, HR, payroll or other areas, may drive internal efficiency and lower third-party outsourcing costs. They are finding that the potential for resource reallocation and economic benefits are huge—in fact, for many organizations Intelligent Automation using RPA will be game changing especially for finance leaders.

It’s not only direct costs to consider for improvement, every aspect of the finance function can see the potential benefits of RPA. Reporting, audit, fraud, standard agreements, working capital management, deployment of resources, time to close, credit facility management and tax are all RPA candidates. What’s most important is to think business process first, then technology as an enabler of the process. In order to thrive in today’s economy, finance leaders are looking to lower costs by streamlining processes and increasing productivity while improving the overall customer experience. Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is an important step along the automation and digital transformation spectrum and for CFOs, it is the weapon in their “automating finance” arsenal.

3 Major Learning Points:
Why is RPA imperative for finance?
Which use cases benefit finance organizations most?
With so much potential, how do CFOs get started on their RPA strategy for immediate ROI?

Topic Abstract

How to use annual budget docs, IG reports to identify use cases, different strategies to deal with unionized workforce, differences between private sector and govt clients etc.
