Krishnakumar Mahalingam, Director Enterprise IT Application, Honeywell Technology Solutions
Co-speaker : Honey Raghavan, Sr Architect, Honeywell Technology Solutions
RPA aims at financial gains for an organization based on an investment on a technology that intelligently automates process steps.
In a large enterprise such automation efforts need to reflect as dollar savings or FTE savings which is the real challenge.
The presentation aims at sharing some samples of automation efforts and the outcomes of such projects.
Though automation intelligence is the need of the hour, the ground reality of implementation stumbles on unknown parameters and needs some careful planning and executions
Lets’ share the mysteries of AI/ML and cognitive automation challenges.

Sumanta Basu, General Manager| Practice Head-Intelligent Process Automation |Digital Experience(DX), Wipro Digital
The amount of data any enterprise ingest and process today in the from of documents, multimedia content is increasing exponentially and requires intelligent solutions to be able to process the same efficiently.
Varied form of data i.e. structured and unstructured content makes it difficult for businesses to process with scale without any intelligent and automated solution.
Output accuracy depends on human skill and requires quality checks and continuous monitoring.
Extensive laborious processes involving huge amount of full time equivalent (FTE) associates.
Various Cognitive solutions can help enterprise
To be highly scalable to handle large volume of data.
To reduce Deployment turnaround timelines , hence productivity gains
Content Automation : Leveraging AI, Pattern Recognition, Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning to perform information extraction, classification across the document with extraction accuracy and confidence level
Cognitive Chatbots : Handling linguistic, colloquial and domain-specific context (Banking, Insurance, telco, Retail, Healthcare etc.) and User Behavior for tone, language to get back with appropriate human like responses.
Visual Analysis : Visual Recognition uses deep learning algorithms to identify scenes, objects, and faces in images. We can create and train a custom model to identify subjects that suit use case needs.
Sentiment Analysis: By understanding emotions conveyed in a communication-- gauging tone, intent, emotion etc. Analyze social media communications like tweets, comments, reviews, complaints etc. to identify opportunities for customer service.

Vikram Balakrishna, Senior Enterprise Architect, Capgemini
It's always not about just technology when we speak about automation and more so about the realm of cognitive automation. The need of today is not about just implementing simple task automation but to realize impactful, sustainable and growth-oriented business performance driven automation leveraging all the technology disruption.
The next wave in the Robotic Process Automation implementation is all about putting the client at the heart of all activities and this means it’s about realizing value across all the services, front, middle and back office processes towards realizing this mission.
All of these can be realized by first tapping on the rich data already available in the client landscapes, using that to model the several processes and mining them by applying several AI techniques, both machine intelligence and neural networks to realize a variety of business use-cases.
Vikram Balakrishna is a senior enterprise architect at Capgemini with over 15 years of industry experience, helping businesses to best leverage the ever-growing technology disruptions, identifying the bits that are here to stay, and harnessing them to deliver true commercial value. His focus is on incubating new technologies and ideas, such as cognitive computing, digital infrastructure, and automation – a complex new battleground that has the potential to give businesses at the leading edge a significant competitive advantage.
