Ways to convince Your Boss Ways to Save
Overview

Robotic process automation (RPA) technology is the next frontier for businesses looking to streamline processes, increase productivity and ultimately improve the bottom-line.

RPA typically uses artificial intelligence to handle repetitive, rules-based, back-office tasks. And the market is about to experience a period of "explosive" growth.

The RPA market grew 64 percent to $200 million last year and is expected to grow 70 to 90 percent by 2018 because successful pilot projects are inspiring buyer confidence in the technology, the consulting and research firm reports.

However, there are some barriers to adoption, such as IT departments concerned about data security and loss of control. Plus, replacing staff with robots in some sectors, such as government, could become a political minefield.

Join us at RPA Summit in April to hear from subject matter experts currently evaluating RPA for their businesses in areas such as Finance, Procurement, HR, Outsourcing, Automation, etc.

Conference Agenda

Thursday, 26 April, 2018
Abstract:

I will present the RPA use cases highlighting how RPA has automated the business processes and added value at the client places. Further we will also highlight lessons learnt globally after the RPA implementation

Abstract:

I would like to talk about the relation between RPA and customer experience giving a real practical example for FL e.g. Troubleshooting, self-service, Disputes, call reason detection, in-time reporting, etc. besides BO complex processes examples especially long and bulk ones that affects the SLA, service accuracy, reduce after service complains, etc. All given examples will be linked to real business KPIs of FL e.g. FCR, AHT, Customer satisfaction, etc. and BO KPIs e.g. SLA, activity reduction percentage, accuracy, etc.

I would like to end with the relation between RPA as the muscles that execute orders, Chatbots and AI as the brain that gives orders.

Abstract:

Many of the innovative projects get derailed or shot down in absence of right communication with respect to the "Reason" why they exist. Expectation from the RPA projects is much higher and wider and its important to set right qualifying criteria and expectation with respect to different departments and respective KPI. During this session we will discuss how to create that "Effective" business case and matrix to measure right data.

This will be an interactive session where participants will join a table to discuss the round table topic - Robotic Process Automation . Each table has a "Topic Guru" to facilitate the discussion.
Abstract:

Human in the loop and what does it mean?

- Recognising the value of the human observations and understanding what is required to get them.

- Man-Machine interface. A sensitive area of humans facing technology - essential things to understand and tackle looming challenges.

Topic Abstract

Now that you got introduced to RPA and got excited about it, the first thing you are likely to think about is would it fit within your organization? And where would it fit? Which department to consider first and which processes to start with? People generally get overwhelmed and want to know the best approach to follow. So join us in this interactive presentation to figure out where RPA can provide the best value within your organization or if you already selected your processes and want to share your own do's and don'ts, tips and tricks.

Topic Abstract

Disruption is no longer just a catch phrase. For Leaders, disruption takes place on two levels. Firstly, long-standing business models are disrupted, and secondly, self-disruption takes place. Self-disruption is a natural outflow, as the two concepts are inseparable. Every day Leaders are required to deal with many competing priorities. They have to:

- Act and deliver - with speed, urgency and decisiveness.
- Interpret and visualize the future, engaging employees and key-stakeholders.
- Lead from the front, with humility.
- Have an adaptive mindset in a disruptive environment with the ability to continually re-position the business.

Cultivating Leadership for this unpredictable environment is not only required, but it is also essential for survival. Leaders and CEO's should respond to this environment by not perceiving disruption as having a negative impact. It is an opportunity waiting to be embraced.

To achieve this, consider the following strategies:

- Challenge your own leadership and your role. Is your role one of positional power, or do you empower and influence your team to cultivate innovation, risk-taking, and creativity?

- Focus and exploit cognitive technology – artificial intelligence such as robotics, speech recognition, and machine learnings. Cognitive technology will most certainly impact headcount levels, but smarter more technological ways of doing business will act as counter and open avenues for job creation

- Many senior executives are spending more time than ever on self-development and self-management strategies. Understanding what drives you and what derails you, has great benefits.

- Stay focused on leveraging your core business, and at the same time developing strategies for entering future growth businesses.

- Build organizational resilience, in leadership and in employees. A disruptive environment has a big impact on employee well-being and ability to manage their work life.

Working with disruption as an opportunity, rather than a threat, builds leadership agility and as a result, future-proof leaders and their businesses.

Abstract:

Business Analysts implementing robotic process automation should follow such certain steps process to defining current situation "AS-IS" model and build a viable desired "TO-BE" model, and to develop an automation strategy that defines how automation will grow within the organization. That requires in the beginning to asess for automation opportunities, priotrise collected business casses, how to build the, identify your automation partner(s) and plan the automation roadmap.

The topic will go through those steps required for planning phase, when RPA should be exist and implemented or not.
